Foundation
Darveno began as a personal documentation project in 2022, during a period when the editorial founder was navigating the practical difficulty of maintaining consistent physical and nutritional habits across a demanding professional schedule in Jakarta.
The journal has since grown into an independent editorial resource, drawing contributions from qualified nutrition and movement professionals working across Southeast Asia.
What This Journal Stands For
Editorial Independence
Darveno accepts no sponsorship from supplement brands, wellness product companies, or affiliated commercial interests. No article is written to serve a commercial outcome. The sole criterion for publication is editorial merit.
Evidence-Informed Approach
Every substantive claim is anchored in published nutritional science, movement research, or the documented practice of qualified professionals. Speculative content is labelled as such, and its basis is stated explicitly.
Contextual Relevance
Wellness guidance developed for Northern European or North American environments does not always translate directly to Southeast Asian conditions. Darveno adapts findings to the specific realities of urban Indonesian life: climate, food systems, commute patterns, and available outdoor space.
Sustainable Over Extreme
The journal is deliberately not a high-performance sport publication. It focuses on practices that can be maintained across months and years, rather than on peak performance protocols designed for dedicated athletes with specialist support.
People Behind Darveno
Raden Satrio W.
A Jakarta-based writer and wellness practitioner with a background in human movement science. Satrio founded Darveno to document the gap between published nutritional research and practical daily application.
Dr. Amara Putri N.
A qualified nutrition professional based in Bandung with over ten years of practice in community nutritional guidance. Amara reviews all articles prior to publication and maintains the journal's reference archive.
Bimo Prakoso H.
A certified movement and conditioning coach with specialisation in functional fitness for urban populations. Bimo contributes the journal's active-lifestyle and conditioning content.
A Brief Chronology
Documentation Begins
The first personal notes are compiled. A reading list of nutritional science literature is assembled. Initial contact is made with qualified nutrition professionals in the Jabodetabek area.
First Published Articles
The first twelve articles are published across the topics of morning routine structuring, hydration habits, and entry-level strength conditioning. Each piece carries a professional review note and a reference list.
Team Expansion
A nutrition advisor and a movement specialist are brought on as permanent contributors. The review cycle is formalised, and the journal adopts a fortnightly publication schedule.
Jakarta Office Established
The editorial team establishes a dedicated workspace in the Dharmawangsa area of South Jakarta, formalising activities and enabling in-person collaboration for the first time.
Archive and Expansion
The archive now holds over 140 published articles. The journal is expanding its focus to include grooming, self-care, and men's everyday personal practices, areas that remain under-documented in the Indonesian wellness publishing space.
Where We Work
Darveno is an independent wellness resource focused on everyday nutrition and active lifestyle practices for men. The content is not affiliated with any governmental or institutional body.
We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any supplement to your daily routine, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.
